How to Change a Flat Tire
Replacing a flat tire is an easy job that only requires few essentials. Once you learn this simple task it is something that you will know forever, and you will have no problem if you ever get stuck on the side of the road with a blown out tire. By knowing this, you will no longer worry and will be able to save your self the time of waiting on AAA to come all the way out to where you are and replace your tire for you.
The directions for replacing a flat tire are quiet simple. First of all, you will start by pulling to the side of the road and putting you car in park. Once you have gotten out and become aware of what is going on, you will put your parking on, as well put on your hazard lights. The best thing to do if you have it available is to put a strong pipe behind your tire that way you can be sure your car will not role back when you are under it. Next, you will need to remove the hubcap if necessary. Then begin to loosen the lug nuts. If the lug nuts are rusted and worn and will not screw off easily, it may be helpful to squirt oil around the base to loosen it up. Once you have unscrewed the lug nuts, leave them slightly screwed on still and carefully began to jack up the car. Jack the car up just enough to remove the tire, and begin to take it off. Once off, slide your new tire on the same way you slid the old one off. You will want to keep the old lug nuts by your side because those are the same you will use for the new tire. After this is done, you will want to screw all of your lug nuts back on to the car, and then it is safe to take the car off the jack. You have now completed changing your flat tire, its safe to get back into the car and get back on your way. Some things you need to be aware of is your spare tire material. You need to make sure that your spare tire is not flat, and that you have all the tools you will need to change a flat tire if you ever break down on the side of the road.
