Choosing the Right Bathroom Flooring for Your Remodel

More and more people are choosing hardwoods for their bathroom remodels and they can make for a beautiful presentation. You can find hardwood in any shade and can stain it to suit your needs. You must make sure your hardwoods are treated and water resistant stains are used.  With proper upkeep, hardwoods can last through most of the life of your home.

Ceramic Tile:

Probably the most hygienic of all the choices are ceramic tiles. The biggest thing you need to be conscious of when choosing ceramic is the porosity rating. Since there is so much humidity in the bathroom, you should make sure your tiles are moisture proof. There are varied degrees of porosity, in order from least absorbent to most absorbent: impervious, vitreous, semi-vitreous and non-vitreous.

As you can see, there are many different choices for bathroom flooring, but with research, you can easily find the one that will fit your specific needs.
